I'm considering taking today off from running. I'm a little concerned about my achilles and feel it could use another rest day. It's a cut back week anyway and I could probably make it up on Friday since I'm taking off.... Actually that's a perfect plan! I only have to do the trail this Saturday, which is 7.5 easy flat miles so doing 6 on Friday will be no problem.
Cool, now I don't feel so guilty.

Hey Heather--have you tried heel pads? When I had trouble with my achilles over the winter they seriously helped. I mean seriously. I ran in them for about 3-4 months. Just a thought--hope they it feels better!
