Will this week ever end?

I keep thinking its Friday. I wish it was Friday.

This has been a really long week, which is odd since we had Monday off so technically its a short week. Monday I hadn't planned on doing much of anything except getting in 7 miles at some point. Since I had no plans I didn't run as soon as I got up. Figured I could do it anytime. Ummm....figured wrong. I got motivated and Avery and I went out and did lots of errands, came home and then went back out with Mike to Home Depot. By the time we got home it was late afternoon and we were beat so Miss A and I took naps. Then I got up to make hot dogs and burgers for our mini Memorial Day cookout. Needless to say, no running.

Since I was a slacker on Monday I woke up at 5:30 and went for a run. It was really humid and drizzling. I wished it would just downpour or something. I got in 4 miles and called it quits. Tuesday night I was exhausted (probably due to the benedryl I took for my poison ivy or whatever it was). Wednesday I figured I had mileage to make up so I ran 9.5. It was horrible, I felt like I was 400 lbs or something, my legs were like lead! I got through it though and that's what matters. This morning I was up at 4:45 and drove to my coworkers house so we could drive in together and run at work. We got in an excellent 4 miles but the rest of the day took forever (and we even went out for a team lunch!). I feel like Friday will never come!

I complain about how slow time is today but I was just recently complaining how fast this year has gone. It's almost 1/2 over! Why is it when you get older it gets faster. I remember being little and the summers seemed like a whole year long, now they fly by in what feels like a week! I know its because we're so busy and all but it just sucks. I wish I could go to camp all summer like I used to instead of sitting in an office! I hope the summers feel like years to Avery too. I think one way to make that happen is not to plan 20 different activities for her in a week. I want her to just enjoy being a kid. She'll have plenty of time to multi-task when she's my age!
